Mount Athos. Lingering betveen image and photographic gaze.

The catalogue of the exhibition of the same name, containing all of the works by the four photographers displayed in the exhibition, as well as texts on the photographers and their work. The publication also includes addresses by His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch, the Holy Community of Mount Athos and the President of the Board of Directors of the Mount Athos Center, Mr Giannis Boutaris, Mayor of Thessaloniki, together with biographical notes on the photographers and a critical review by the curator of the exhibition, Mr Vangelis Ioakeimidis, Director of the Thessaloniki Photography Museum.  

The catalogue was published as part of the parallel events held during the 10th International Conference of the Mount Athos Center on the theme ‘Mount Athos in the 17th and 18th centuries: from the post-Byzantine to the modern era’, which formed part of the project entitled ”The Great Intellectual and Cultural Legacy of Mount Athos”, under the Operational Programme ‘Macedonia–Thrace 2007-2013’ of the Intermediate Managing Authority of Central Macedonia.
